Firm founder Klaus Herzog is a studied forester. When working in his profession, he stumbled again and again over shortcomings or downright construction or performance failures of the then available forestry machinery. As the practical man he was, he was not satisfied with being miscontent, but decided to do something about it: He started constructing and making his own machines in 1994.

Besides making his own machines he looked for and found products of foreign manufacturers not wellknown in Switzerland and started to sell them here. Like e.g. the ingenious products of Konrad Forsttechnik GmbH from Austria or of Otmar Noe GmbH of Germany, both born out of the same reason as his own.
